Sloping or awkward shaped sites can cost less than flat building sites. To find out if they are good value for money you need to consider the cost of the home design and the site costs. Local planning policies and rules will often influence the cost.

Access to winter sunlight from the north can make a home feel light and bright. With good building design and placement of glazing, your home will be more efficient to heat and cool. Lots with northern aspect to the rear or the side are easier to achieve efficient building design.
